The call of the risen Lord to love one another is the call to all his people to hand on their faith to each other and promote justice in our society.
Today is Good Shepherd Sunday, a day of special prayer for vocations to the work of service in the Church. Jesus died and rose for people of every race and nation. His command to his Church was to go out and preach to all people, we pray for people of faith to respond to that command.
Jesus assures his disciples that he is risen from the dead and sends them to preach the gospel in his name. He assures us of this too, and we are sent to be his people in our family, among our friends, in all parts of the world.

May this day and the scripture we hear call us to look at the depth of our faith. We are called on to look into our hearts to show forgiveness and reconciliation to all we meet. Christ’s forgiveness is without condemnation.
