The joy that Jesus promises is the joy that we find in the type of love which is his. This is the deepest desire of the human heart: Jesus gives meaning to all our hopes for loving and being loved in our lives with others.

The joy that Jesus promises is the joy that we find in the type of love which is his. This is the deepest desire of the human heart: Jesus gives meaning to all our hopes for loving and being loved in our lives with others.
Today is a day of prayer to deepen our own sense of vocation, and to pray to the Lord to call men and women into a life of ministry and service within religious life.
Jesus assures his disciples that he is risen from the dead and sends them to preach the gospel in his name. He assures us of this too, and we are sent to be his people in our family, among our friends, in all parts of the world.
Jesus is glorified by his father and receives his mission from him. Jesus’ transfiguration encourages us to be confident that we shall be with God eternally if we are faithful to him now.
