We come in thanks to God for his presence and care in our lives. The gospel is an invitation from Jesus to give thanks. If we think over all we can be thankful for, we often find more than we realised.
Faith is a gift which is deepened or weakened in the experiences of our lives. Joy and success can make it easy to believe in God: sorrow and failure threatens our faith in God’s care. Our readings encourage us to keep faith in all life’s ups and downs.
