PALM SUNDAY OF THE LORD’S PASSION
During this holiest of weeks, let us set out with determination along a path of humility, with immense love for our Lord and Saviour. Love will guide us and give us strength. For where he is, we too shall be.

During this holiest of weeks, let us set out with determination along a path of humility, with immense love for our Lord and Saviour. Love will guide us and give us strength. For where he is, we too shall be.
May this day and the scripture we hear call us to look at the depth of our faith. We are called on to look into our hearts to show forgiveness and reconciliation to all we meet. Christ’s forgiveness is without condemnation.
Today’s gospel has been called ‘the best short story in the world’s literature’. Allow the story of the prodigal son draw you into God’s loving forgiveness.
The call of God is always to become more like Jesus in how we treat his people. We know our failings: the call to repent in today’s gospel is also the promise of God’s forgiveness for our failings and sins.
The gift of God’s love and the following of Jesus is offered to all of us by God. It is a gift we struggle with, as evil in the world tempts us to live in selfishness. Lent, and today’s gospel, reminds us of the glory of our calling to follow in Jesus’ ways.

Day of Prayer for Temperance
What do we have to show for all the love God has shown us? Are our words full of bitterness or sweetness?
It is all too easy to trust in our own possessions- and the more we have the easier it is. But they are all temporary. If we put our trust in the Resurrection and live in its spirit then we shall inherit eternal life.
