We are continually in need of God's healing power in Christ to cure our blindness to his ways and our deafness to his word.
(Christian Families are Missionary Families)
Mission Sunday is the day we support in prayer, and in other ways (a letter, financial contribution, a visit to a missionary’s family), men and women who have given their lives, for a few years or more, in the service of faith and of justice all over the world.
The word of God cuts into our lives and challenges us to listen, even, if its message is tough. It is a word which promises a constant invitation in our lives to live more like Christ.

The signs that Jesus is present and that we are his true witnesses is that we attend to our sick, console those who are in despair, befriend the friendless; work for social justice, we must not be mute through fear or self-protection. We must do all things well.
